Kafi Tappa (Live in Concert)
FREE
Description
Kaafi Tappa is a unique
and the most difficult
form of singing or
playing in Indian Music.
Essentially a camel
driver’s song, a
Tappa has a rolling pace
echoing the back and
forth motion of a camel,
and an unending chain of
complex musical cascades,
ascending, descending and
mixed. The most amazing
thing about a Tappa is
the fact that inspite of
its rhythmic and melodic
complexity, its sweetness
and instantaneous appeal
is untouched.
